[s-cars] RE: 255/40 17 Snow Tires

That's an awesome comparison Dave. Simplifies the choices
and questions for everyone. Glad you guys came up with a
reasonable hand's-on comparo for the rest of us. Guess that's
why I feel the need for 205's here. I'd actually go narrower, but
there's no rim/tire combo capable of that without doing a brake
swap-over too, and I'm not about to go THAT far. I have the same
size issue with the Saabaru, hope that 205's are narrow enough
for the markedly lighter (3300 lb) car, 'cuz to go to narrow 15's
would require some PRICEY rims (SSR Comps are availible,
in narrow 15's to fit over the WRX brakes on the car) for snow
trashies.
