Teddy,
What about a lose solder connection in the ECU? Something that intermittent
either sounds like a valve (i.e. WGFV) or electrical.

Subject: Re: [s-cars] Weird boost issue - resolved (maybe?)
bob,
let's see how long that lasts. every time i fiddled with
the little hoses going to the moisture trap, the boost seemed
to be better for a little while and i thought i had fixed it.
i also pondered simply replacing the hoses. with the
symptoms my car has shown (going from low to high boost
during the same acceleration run), i think it's more likely
a boost sensing issue than a leak in the intake tract. and
since fiddling with the hoses to the moisture trap seemed to
help, i think there may be a leak in the hoses themselves.
i went so far as to visually inspect the moisture trap itself
for cracks.
the hose coming out of one side of the moisture trap to the
ECU is clamped to stiff green plastic tubing. i imagine that
replacing this hose should be pretty straightforward. but
the other hose coming out of the moisture trap has a crimped
connection at the other end. does this end of the hose just
slide onto a hose barb or something? did you replace this
one?
i just want to make sure i know which hoses you're talking
about.
