You could drive it from NY to LA at 250 (closed highways), but it would take
you a lot longer than 12 hrs. because of this things gas needs. I remember
reading something on howstuffworks.com <http://howstuffworks.com> that at
1,001 HP (the figure they were shooting for during production) the engine
basically consumed fuel like a jet engine consumes air. I vaguely remember
the figure being something like 3 miles per gallon. So, it goes without
saying that the gas stops would happen about once every 15-20 min or so.
That's a lot of stops, even at 250 mph.
