I used a pair of Simpson Timber Ties purchased from Home Depot.
They're the galvanized straps used to tie decking, fences, etc.
together. The ones I bought were 2" wide and were in an "L"
configuration. You only need 7" on the side leg (that mounts to the
PhatBox) and about 3" on the bottom leg (which mounts to the car in
place of the CD changer). A cutoff grinder, drill and file made the
mounts I needed in no time. Get 4 M5 bolts (to mount the Phat Box to
the bracket), 2 M5 locknuts and fender washers (1/4" works fine) to
mount the brackets to the car.
