[s-cars] Dyno questions

Dave,

Thanks for your input.

So you think that 3 pulls should be enough, is the temperature delta after
3 normally negligible?

I gave the dyno shop a leading question by commenting I wanted to do
multiple sessions hoping they would offer up a break in price. I'll ask
point blank next time. $60 sounds great.

Each one hour session will cost $200USD (this includes special $35 fee to
set up Audi's because they are "more difficult to strap down" (is this
true
by the way?), special fee for using their AWD dyno, and special fee for
selecting the Air Fuel Ratio monitoring option)

I would suggest you get a price for 3 pulls. No value to doing more
 without
making changes to the car. No, it isn't hard to strap down. Our local
dyno
charges $60 to set up and do 3 pulls.

Rub Number 2
200 x 3 = 600 samoleans, thats alot of cabbage for me

Yeah... need to renegotiate.

Ass 1
I shouldn't see any peak increase in HP/Torque numbers due to the FMIC
install, as the first pull, when the car is the coldest or should I say,
the intercooler is the coolest, should be the same with either the stock
 IC
or the FMIC. The FMIC only helps keep the power Mihnea already programmed
into the ECU a bit longer, hopefully alot longer. Is this right?

You will see a peak increase, but you will also see less of a change
 between
runs.

Ass2
In order to see hp/torque gains with the new FMIC, I'll need to have
Mihnea
re-tune the software with the FMIC in mind, as I hopefully won't see
"ridiculous intake temps, we better back off" - Mihnea Cotet as before.
Crazy?

Well... no comment.

What do you all think? Is this a big waste of cabbage?

I never think testing is a waste. But get it down to a reasonable price.
HTH,
Dave
