[s-cars] Concert radio code

Could be, but I would think that the code requirement would be an internal
function of the head unit not of the particular car into which it was
installed. I have always had to re-enter the code on my 94 S4 gamma system
after battery work also. You could be right....

Maybe that has something to do with the fact that you're using the radio in
a different car? I don't know if there is any real interaction between the
car and the radio, but I've always had to enter a code any time the battery
was disconnected on our old A4 with Concert I.

It depends...sort of. All Concert 1 radios do have a security code.
However, for some reason, not all need their code to work. I purchased mine
via Audifans marketplace with the code. When I installed it an fired it up,
voila, no code necessary. I know Tom Mullane has had the same experience.
I say install it and see what happens. You may be good to go.
