[s-cars] tire wear on a lowered cars

Part of it is that I have a lot of trouble getting the cars set up right.
And some of my cars have been especially troublesome.

My tires are never totally "spent" after 15,000. But one or more of the
tires always has an inside or outside edge that is looking rather worn....
so I go out and buy all 4 again and try to correct the problem.

I sort of notice that after getting it all repaired... and getting the
perfect alignment... and then putting on 4 tires.... I'll look at them in
3-4K miles and the edges of my tires are always starting to wear. I seems
to be unavoidable for me. Again... maybe I've had some shitty cars.

And.... another story I just thought of.... I knew a guy (a few years
ago) who bought a brand new 91 200 TQ right off the showroom floor. All
he complained about was how the thing would eat tires -- And I saw it with
my own eyes. Obviously something was wrong but on a Stock 200TQ serviced
only by the dealer -- you'd think they could have work out that problem.
By 50,000 miles he must have had 3 sets of tires on it. He was pissed off
and dumped the car.

There are those who can get their tires to last... but I guess I'm on the
other end of the scale.

Thanks for responding though. It's a good to hear your experience.
