Thanks for your offer. I now have the problem under control.

Rich Leitsinger had a pair here locally which he graciously provided.
I had cut a piece of wire to measure the length of the rear
AcmeEnterprises lines. I put it up to the lines Rich gave me. The new
lines are over an inch longer!

I did it and the car was on jack stands supported from the frame, e.g.
suspension dangling. However, this clearly would not have mattered in
this case. The right rear is worst case, in terms of largest distance
between hard line and caliper.

Exacerbated by inadequate length. Size *does* matter! (at least in this case)
