[s-cars] Protective film

Of course I had issues, Aaron.
I bought the deluxe kit 212 for the A6 and a 98 E class kit.
I did a lousy job with the mirrors and did my own cut-out for
the washers. I had to handle these small pieces too much and
got dirty fingerprints on the underside that are there today. I was
trying to work too fast to get the job done before a vacation trip in
February. So, I had loose edges that got dirt under it and I have
had to trim that back. But that was mostly for bumper strips.
The hood went last and without problems. It's done the job too,
with only one ding in it from a rock that also broke the windshield.
The film is great at protecting against gravel pecks that really make
the front of the car ugly. It is probably harder to get some bugs off
the film than the paint, but you don't have to worry about lifting the
paint.
I will do some preliminary inquiries to see if it is feasible with some
preliminary participant numbers. My car is a S6 so we still will have
S4 fitting to work out. There is a TT club that had a discount a few
years ago that led me to this company, so they are familiar with car
group discounts.
Tom '95 S6
'95.5 S6 Avant in for at least one kit.
