Ah Taka ...

Been waiting to hear your reply.
Indeed new tires, I plan to buy 2 more PS2's to match my nearly new ones.
Thanks for the info on Yokohama,
Will do some studying

Nah, only two at a time, although I would not run different brands and models of tires on the same
car- that could make the handling unusual.

Good excuse to justify getting a new set of tires.

Maybe I'd do all 4 if the difference was really large- brand new 10/32 vs. worn-out 3/32 or something like that.
Even still, if you do the math, I don't think the difference in rolling diameter is that much.

If you're storing the car in the winter, why not get something like Falken Azenis RT-615? I'd say that if you're
going to spend some serious cash (such as Michelin type cash), then the best performance tire to get
currently is the Yokohama Advan Neova AD-07. The Falken and the Hankook RS-2 Z212 are the other alternatives-
both tested better than the Kumho Ecsta MX.

I drove to a regional tire chain today requesting mounting 2 Michelin
	PS2's
	Size is 255X40 ZR17.

Reason being I hit a road hazard and damaged one of 4 Sumitomo's.

This would give me 2 Michelin's and 3 HTRZ II's Size is 255X40 ZR17 for
	the moment.
Since I store the S4 in winter, not a problem right now. I did not
	measure tread depth, yet.

The Tire store manager did not want to mount the (2) due to variance on
the tread depth exceeding the Audi recommendation for
	Quattro's.

She told me Audi specifies 1/32 " tire to tire variation maximum and
does not want the liability of drive train damage due to differing
	tires.

1/32 nd variance seems kind of excessive to me.. But tell me please

If you guys mangle 1 of your summer tires, do you replace all 4?

What rules do you live by WRT tread depth variation?
