I am now in the habit of buying 5 wheels and tires at a time - 
both to have a "real" spare and in case I lose an orphan tire or 
wheel.

You should see my back porch...I've got 3 sets of tires stacked 
up, and another couple of sets in the garage :)

I also snag orphan rims when I can. After learning that the 
anthracite OZ SLs were NLA, I found one on ebay. Bought it for 
$35. Guess nobody else wanted it. Then a second one popped up. 
$35, thank you very much. Then I got a message from the seller 
"you want my third/last one too?"

Sure.

So now I have 8 OZ SLs in anthracite. I can't bear to sell a set 
of 4 as then I wouldn't have *any* spares!

Oh, and I found a guy selling 4 new NRWs for fairly short money. 
Might just buy his...
