"No s-cars because they're too fast... "

Amen to THAT statement. Speaking from recent personal experience,
My son attended Audi Extreme Team driving in Road Atlanta and was
exhibiting
'some' degree of maturity, until....
He and 2 of his other Audi driving buddies were rat racing in NH.
My son was driving our 1994 Audi 90S, with 175K miles, so not exactly
'quick'
But still it handles remarkably well for FrontWD.
Anyway, he managed to get loose in the S curves and whack a guardrail,
slide out of it and walk away clean.
Didn't blow the airbag because the speed was low at impact, but
nevertheless.
I was satisfied he was in an Audi, even if a little more car than
prudent.
Teenage Boys will be Boys, weren't we all?

Later, he told me his view, saying he tried to drive (steer) out of the
skid with techniques from Team Extreme,
'the tires can either turn or brake, but not both at the same time. '
Fortunately he didn't tell that to Officer Sargent!
However he needed about 3 more vital feet.
Not possible bing that guardrail.!
Escaped a major incident and hopefully now the wiser.
Oh yeah, Andrew gets to fix the damage now to get back on the road.
