I have a tip in my A6 2.7t and I would take the automatic in my '78 Camaro I
owned as my first car over it any day of the week.  Sometimes I can get the
thing "thinking" about a downshift for up to 2 seconds, depending on the
throttle movements.  It really is one of the crappiest shifting autos I have
ever driven.

That's what I said, the automatic was the letdown. The 6-speed is out- it's
being shipped to dealers right now.
