nope, none of those.  maybe he got lucky.
the '96 saab 900S used the saab engine in the vectra chassis as i
recall.

my brother was a busy surgical resident and not exactly inclined
to devote much time to babying the car, either.

he sold that car for $1500 less than he paid for it, with a few
more years and an extra 60k on the clock.  in exchange, he got
reliable, practical, moderately fun transportation with a dash
of luxury.
