[s-cars] Q7 High-bred

Q7 just written up in one of the car mags. Height given as 68". That won't
fit in my garage! Oops!

And speaking of biodiesel...any pre-CDI turbodiesel will run 100% biodiesel
with no problems. Pull up a 2 year old Mercedes 300SD, or a 10 year old
Passat tdi to the pump, fill it up and off you go.

New diesels with the common rail technology are still being evaluated. VW
doesn't officially support anything higher than 2% bio... However, I know of
one guy who converted a *new* Mercedes CDI to run straight vegetable oil
(and the conversion entails no more than installing a second tank in the
trunk, fluid warmers in the tank, an extra filter or three and some fuel
hose that integrates with the existing fuel delivery system...about $800 in
parts and a half day of labor.

My new (to me) td will run 100% biodiesel 9 months out of the year, as
available. (Depends on how often I want to *make* the stuff!)
