You'd think it would have to help. I was pretty surprised at the dragstrip that even with 45 minutes between runs, the IM was still too hot to touch for long.
Of course, there's no substitute for real data to support the validity of the part.

I can't say that this works on the Audi I-5, but phenolic spacers have been
used for a very long time with the Chevy Gen I/II/III/IV small blocks, the
Ford 302, 351W, 4.6 and other engines with great success.
