Mark, take a look at the turbo's offered by http://www.034efi.com/index.php?cPath=21 The GT28RS sounds like what you are looking for...comparable to RS2, however you might want to consider the GT2871RS too.

I have not tried any of these myself, however if you are looking for ball bearing turbo's 034efi has a full line up for the I5 20V.

Subject: [s-cars] Ball bearing turbo

  I currently have a Garret/KKK hyrbid T04E from Europrice. I've pretty much
used ballbeaing Garrett's on my Porsche 944T's and have been happy and would
like feedback on the options people out there have used for the S4/S6 cars.
What price, vendors, claims, actual felt performance? I didn't think I would
go much past the RS2 with the Garrett but maybe a little farther. I do like
the quicker spool up of the ball bearing turbos which the bigger Garrett is
much noticable over the stock K-24 and even a little more than the K-26 car
I road in. Thanks, MGH
