[s-cars] Couple of questions

Brian:

The electrical fan and aux water pump are triggered together by a thermo
switch mounted in a water pipe just under the intake manifold. If the
coolant temp exceeds a certain limit (105 celcius I think) and the car
is shut off, then the fan and pump will turn on for 10 min max.

It takes quite a lot to exceed 105 C water temp and in my case, the
fan/pump never came on. I installed a lower temp switch which read
underhood air temp (like on the older models) and now it comes on about
50% of the time. I tried to locate a lower temp thermo-switch that would
fit in the stock location, but couldn't (i.e. matching threads).

You can test your circuit by pulling the wires off the thermo switch and
shorting them together with the key off - the fan and pump should run.
