[s-cars] phenolic spacers... .

Darren,

I removed the IM whith the head on the car few years ago to fix a coolant
leak at the coolant manifold beneath the IM. While a time consuming job, I
was able to remove it without altering allen wrenches. I did have to
purchase an allen wrench that is about a foot long to do the job though.

I would be willing to contribute to the cause, but
having removed my IM with the head removed from the
car, I have to warn you that- it is going to be a
major PITA, if not an impossible task. Even with the
head removed, I had to alter two allen wrenches to get
the last 2 bolts out.
If someone else has removed the IM with the head on
the car, maybe you could shed some more light onto
this matter.

Darren
