That is totally hot- like the RS6, I'll bet that the only thing that keeps
this car from being a real driver's car is the automatic transmission.

If they made a DSG version, that would much better, even though it's still
not the "feel" of a conventional manual.

I actually like the new grille on the A8/S8- it makes the car look much more
aggressive, gives the car a lot more presence. After seeing the grille on
several
different models, I think it looks best on the A8, then the TT (aftermarket
conversion
I saw at Waterfest), then the A4 and finally the A6. The grille proportions
seem much
more upright on the A6, giving the car a pronounced snout that makes it look
like
a Chrysler 300M rather than an Audi.

Interesting that the V-10 is a 90 degree design- anyone know if this engine
is
really more of a 4.2 V-8 with two cylinders tacked on, like the Ford design?

Now that they have a V-10 version, they should offer an "economy" version of
the A8
with 7-speed DSG, a 2.6L I-5 and turbocharging. :-)

Considering how well the conventional A8 drives in "dynamic" mode, even with
crappy
Pirelli P6 all-seasons, the S8 must be really nice.
