[s-cars] washer fluid low level warning light

Hi Dan;

The washer fluid level sensor is in the pump assembly. There is a vertical
tube on the pump that contains a float. I installed a new pump a few years
ago and have the same problem. The float in the new pump hangs up in the
tube. If the warning light comes on, it stays on after I refill the
reservoir until I hit a couple of bumps in the road that jar it loose.
Fortunately, we have plenty of potholes around here to perform this vital
function, but I've been using the same bumps for the last 5 years. I could
send you the pothole specifications if you want; maybe your town council
could do something :)

Subject: [s-cars] washer fluid low level warning light

Listeners: Recently, the low level warning light came on for the windshield
fluid for my 95.5 S6. I filled the reservoir, but the light is still on.
Does anyone know where the sensor/switch is located on the reservoir? I am
assuming that the senor/switch is malfunctioning. I checked the Bentley,
but could only find the sensor/switch for the V6. All the other sensors are
working fine. Any BTDT? Thanks in advance.
