Dave;
The heater box (and I suppose the AC box - I've never had that one out) is
glued to the firewall with an adhesive gasket. If a gasket has failed, water
will get into the car as the plenum fills up in heavy rain. This is another
potential source for your leak.

Well as i said the water came in when the car was sitting in the rain,no
AC,just rain on the car when it was not running but sitting in the yard
im in New England so i have not used the AC at all
im still thinking i may have to make my own drain in the floor just to
be safe
does anyone know if the ECU gets hot when the car is running? does heat
up like a PC or is it cool running?
thanks dave
