[s-cars] WAS: Ball bearing turbo NOW: Centerforce clutch

Now I'm thinking the Centerforce was quiet because one side is organic?.. maybe. The new clutch is a Spec unit that Javad sold to me... metallic on both sides, and full faced on both sides. It was supposed to have a sprung hub, but it didn't come that way. Having a few hours on my hands this weekend, I decided to give it a try anyways. It grabs like mad, and actually has a lighter pedal than the Centerforce. It's certainly more of a race clutch, as it seems to be all or nothing. With this clutch you can make it chatter, but with normal use, there's nothing... no noise either.

Now it makes sense. Yet I'm still amazed your clutch was quiet. My new
clutch does not make as much chatter as the old one, but the chatter
is there occasionally.
What clutch did you go with?

Also, for those shopping for a upgraded clutch kit, I have

Summit's price was also $100 cheaper than any local
