Sounds like you're coming to the 12th Annual Quattrofest? My first
Quattrofest was the 2nd Annual one in 1994. I'll be there.
http://www.audiclubnw.org/2005_Events/Quattrofest.htm I'll be testing out
my new-to-me (eBay/recycled) 2B Big Red Kit, as soon as it arrives on
Halloween. It doesn¹t come with the allen bolts, anyone know what size to
get off hand?
The girlfriend (heh heh!) is bringing her Jetta 1.8T for her first DE
event.
Scott Mockry http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/ saved my butt a couple of weeks
ago & helped when I had a bad coil (I¹m buying all my parts from him from
now on-No mo¹ Parts Connection). I needed a new lower belt cam pulley
(t-belt change) & the dealer said 2 weeks. I called Scott immediately & he
shipped it right away. Gary Erickson also helped out (saved my car) when my
88 90Q¹s large alternator wire caught on fire while I was in the drivers¹
meeting @ PIR. They noticed smoke & saw a little flame. I had the car
towed to a garage that replaced the wire. Weird, the insulation caught on
fire & was smoldering for at least a half hour after the drive from Seattle
to Portland (3 hours). This was back in the 90¹s.

All,
Gotta love the list support for a broken "out of towner." I've had quite a
few offers to lend assistance, and appreciate them greatly.
Looks like Gary Erickson will be coming to my rescue with some garage
space... which will be great since it has been raining most of the time I've
been here.
Anyway... thanks to the many folks who have offered to help. And if
anyone's ever stuck in Colorado, we've got a bunch of folks (including
myself) that would gladly rush to help as well.
Thanks,
Dave
