[s-cars] Brake Light intermittently comes on

I can't seem to stop my brake light from coming on.    I thought it was low hydraulic (steering) fluid, but I added some and it still does exactly the same thing -- the brake light intermittently comes on if I go over a bump or something.    

Is there also a level sensor in the brake master cylinder?    I see something floating in the reservoir... maybe the sensor has fallen apart?    The light always goes off eventually... but then comes on again 10 minutes later when I hit the next bump.   Has anyone had this problem?
