[s-cars] Dyno results

OK, here's the dyno story. I showed up and did the first run on street tune
settings as it was driven there, about 25 psi of boost, 91 octane and no
water injection. This is the green run. From there I started playing with
the water injection only to find out it wasn't working. I've been having
problems with my pump's pressure switch. This just resulted in a bunch of
heat soak. I tried upping the boost on 91, but the car was too hot and at
his point I was pretty much out of gas... Final numbers never passed the
first run of 364 whp 322 ft-lbs uncorrected.

Good thing I had some 104 unleaded in the trunk. The first run resulted in
a bad misfire so I decided to pull the plugs. Everything looked good there
so I added more coil dwell. Problem fixed, now we're talking! After some AFR
fine tuning I ended up with an uncorrected 417 whp 383 ft-lbs.

Now it was time to inch those number up a little so I took off the air
filter and retarded the cam about 4 degrees and we ended up at the final
value of 434 whp 391 ft-lbs which is the Red plot. I included the blue plot
which is old 10vt's top numbers on race gas for comparison.
Here's the links.

Overall I'm very happy with the results, my main goal when I started this
project was to have 10vt race gas power at a lower boost and 91 octane fuel
in the 20v. Done. The second goal was to pass 400 uncorrected whp at
altitude. Done.

So what's next? I'd like to see some higher numbers out of pump gas so I'll
probably hit the rollers again once I get the WI working again. Hopefully
Hap and I can make it at the same time!

I also am really anxious to try rpm based boost control on this car. I think
I could have some really interesting 4th gear dyno plots with this turbo:)
On every run I started at 3000 rpms, in 3rd gear. This was only to keep the
turbo out of surge, although it still surged a bit, but not enough to chirp
or make the car buck, just a little shuffle... I think a 4th gear run
starting at 2800 rpms would show an even wider power curve. I didn't have a
chance to do a part throttle low rpm run, maybe next time.

Now I just need to get this thing out on the track where it belongs.
