[s-cars] reduced compression ratio

My main question is, should I install a stainless steel headgasket (such as sold by www.034efi.com) to lower the compression ratio on my engine? The secondary question is, should I get aftermarket head studs such as ARP?
The background details: my '93 S4 is getting a Garret 3071 turbo, custom stainless headers, and custom exhaust. We're tentatively planning on running RS2 software with larger injectors. I would like to get as much useable power out of the turbo as possible with the stock bottom end (which has 180,000 miles). If the addition of the two parts above would permit me to safely run a little higher boost, then I'd go for it as these parts are relatively inexpensive compared to rods and pistons. Javad's site recommends head studs for applications over 250 horsepower, FWIW. I'm hoping to be well north of that.
Thanks.
Alex
