very true.  i recently drove with my friend in his E46 M3 to test-drive
a number of fine german cars, and then got in my UrS4 to drive home.  it
didn't feel as decrepit and creaky as i'd expected - it felt pretty damn
good, in fact.  i thought that was great for a 14 year old car.
