Gents:

Just got my order in from www.vagparts.com. The RS2 carrier brackets
showed up in great condition, and the driver's side convex-edge mirror
glass was in one piece. Time from on-line order placement to arrival
of parts was exactly two weeks.

Price on the carrier brackets was GBP83, and the mirror glass GBP23.

Not too shabby.

Matt Weiss at StopTech is sending me front and rear lines and front
pads (Hawk HPS) shipped for about $220. All I need now are the rotors
(in progress) and the hardware (bolts and pad dampeners) and I'm ready
to roll. The 993TTBBK looks to come out to be about $1200 all told,
including shipping, fluid and lube. $380 extra for the shipped ECS
kit doesn't look like all that bad of a deal, if you don't mind
spending a few bux for the convenience of not having to call all over
creation for parts and bits. I'm going to put the savings to an ECU
upgrade, so that was motivation enough for me.

The calipers were the big part of this kit - at $325 per, and $75
shipping for the pair.

Finally - Matt at StopTech has been great. Excellent guy to work
with, and very knowledgable. His opinions on braking technology are
interesting as well. The whole website there is a good read.

I'd like to thank you guys for your patience (well, most of you, that
is) and help in finding all the parts, talking to the right folks, and
general encouragement to the short slide down the slippery slope. :)

Eric
