[s-cars] Boost leak

The new MRC RS2 chip set up is only giving me 20 psi boost. I spoke with
Bob Myers and he felt I may have a boost leak. I did the pressure check and
think I may have found the problem. The system wouldn't hold pressure and I
heard the air being relieved. When I tracked things to the origin of the
sound, it appears to be that the bleeder valve for the crankcase ventilation
has given up the ghost and parted company with itself. I believe this is
the item located vertically under the intake manifold with two or three
clamps and hoses attached to a solid pipe running towards the rear of the
engine under the intake manifold. Based upon the FA it looks like P/N
035-103-245-A. However I cannot understand how this affects the boost
pressure unless it being a spring loaded check valve which has lost its seal
and is now partially dumping to atmosphere. Now I also wonder if in my
quest to find this leak, I caused it to totally part company and may prevent
the car from running under any boost. I'll take the car out and check. I
also wonder if I can simply block off both sides of the hose where the
bleeder valve is located to run the car or if that is risking something
nasty happening. I took a test drive and still got 20 psi. Safe to drive
in this condition? What about blocking off the ventilation system at both
the intake manifold and other side of the bleeder valve? I have to get to
the airport Sunday and don't want to do anything really stupid.
