The most significant drain to keep clean is the one under the cowling cover.
Open the hood, take off the black cover and somehow use a vacuum to suck out
the debris. If this is not done on an annual basis and the drain holes get
clogged, a sudden downpour will send water into the car through the heater
vents and short out the electrical components for a 2-3K bill. Been there
done that.

After hearing a couple horror stories about April showers causing wet
footwells, wet trunks and dripping sunroofs, I'm determined to clean all my
drains.
Can anyone provide a comprehensive list of the following:
(1) Where the drains on our cars are located
(2) Which drainage lines need to be cleaned or cleared and how to get to
them
Thanks in advance. Helpful respondents will be rewarded with a six-pack of
beer the next time they're in Vermont.
Dave
