Subject: [s-cars] Will they fit?
Going to the school in Vegas next week and plan to take the S4 (more
fun with a manual). I have a 30% used set of contis that I really
don't care about, but they are 17s. Will the stock '02 S6 17" wheels
fit on my '93 S4 without a spacer?
Some of you wise men suggested new pads before I go. What is a good
choice for aggressive street with a little track (newbie)?
TIA, you guys are the best! I wish there was something as
entertaining and useful in the new S6 world as this list. It's lonely
out here.

'02 S6 (still deciding)
'93 S4 (217,000 and going strong) >>>
John-
As noted they fit up fine no spacers nothing. The 255's will give you
some *light* right front rear of fender liner rub @ full lock in reverse
(go figure?) otherwise no issues. I ran those exact wheel / tires, the
tires have good grip but not much feedback where limit is.
I say wail on them on the UrS, the entirely huger foot print will hugely
benefit you out there on track esp. if you're running OE suspension.
Something like 50lbs. per corner may even provide some anti OE
suspension handling benefit, tugging back at each of those Rancho
springs. ICBW.

Don't mention it 8-). Some of us do only some things well (village
fool?). Wish we had more C5 //S folk around (like you said - cool ones
- hard to find), they're neat (the cars!)...
HTH, enjoy, report back.
