Finally bit the bullet yesterday, and finished my 1.8t coil conversion.  Certainly not anything new these days, but sure is working well.  I have to say I almost felt lucky when the car fired right up.  20 wires to keep straight, and they're all yellow.
 
Either way, it works like a champ...

If I had it to do over again, I think I might have bought one of those pretty wiring harnesses from Apikol.  There are certainly more than a few hours needed to make your own... as well as room for error.
