Dave: We've had this "discussion" before and I have to agree with Igor, the
flashing amber is much more distinctive than red, too bad ours didn't come
with the side, fender mounted indicator or the more fashionable mirror
mounted. Hmm, I wonder how hard this would be :-)

Yes, >$2k is very expensive, but I paid less than half that on ebay.de. I'm
crossing my fingers that a bulb doesn't go kaput.

Yes, the e-code projector is a very good solution, either from a TT or C5 A6.
The projector from the C5 is bigger and takes a little more work for it to
fit. I think either Tom M or Mark S did the C5 retrofit. There is nothing like
the sharpness and cut-off of the e-code beam pattern.
