[s-cars] CD player kaput?

I recently had a similar thing happen and nothing would bring it back to
life. I had to take the CD player apart to get the cartridge out but it
wouldn't work at all even after I put it back together...the little control
unit kept telling me error and I eventually decided I wanted something
better anyway. That's when I went with Alpine's new 9856 head unit (just
released in Feb. of 2006) and the 10G ipod I already had with their new
"Full Speed" connection.....HUGE advancement over previous ipod integral
units. It does all the functions of the ipod from the head unit and does
them just as fast as if you were using the click wheel on the ipod. Head
unit plus cable = $229. Also, you can use the pre-amp outputs and wire them
directly into the Bose amps right at the head unit.

Yea, you get good at this after a while.
Then you give up and install a Concert radio and a PhatBox! :)
