This is my regime:
1. Wash car with good non-wax stripping soap
2. use Griot's clay bar to remove micro-contamination using Meguiars
spray and shine "final inspection" as a lubricant
3. rinse off
4. use Porter Cable oribital polisher with foam pad and 3M glazing
compound
5. remove compound with damp cloth, rinsing in clean water often
6. hand apply Griot's "best of show" wax
7. hand buff out
I do this 3-4 times per year.
Also, in the summer, in between washes, I use the California Duster and
spray and shine.
