Definitely do not let the leather dry out and crack- especially the thick
Audi leather,
because it is too difficult to bring back.

Another thing with leather seats- don't sit on them in shorts in the summer-
any sweat
gets absorbed by the leather and the salts dry out the leather. You need to
use a seat
cover or a towel or something so that it doesn't happen.

Then again, if you wear long pants that isn't an issue. Another reason to
get the seats recovered in Alcantara, along with the headliner, door inserts
and sunvisors. :-)

I have found that the cheap Zymol leather conditioner you can find at Target
works much better than Lexol to reinvigorate "dry" feeling leather that's
starting to dry out. I'd be wary if it has too much neatsfoot oil, might
weaken the seam stiching.
