Bob
Thanks for the list, especially the lead on the tool. I was thinking it might be tight in there to use a traditional screw type clamp.
It was suggested that I replace the "PCV" valve, as I seemed to be getting some oil residue on top of the intake manifold where the dipstick pokes thru. At the time, I did not know that I had this huge boost leak just beneath that area, due to a torn rubber "T" type hose, 034 133 367 E.
I have not ordered one of the other devices nearby, but am wondering if I should, and if you know how it would effect these new bits I hpe to install this week, 1 problem is that there seem to be different names for this thing;
Bentley - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister control regulator valve-N-80
ETKA - Pressure Regulating Valve (#3 in illustration 103-89)
WorldPac Sources - Eghaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve
I had assumed that these are all the same thing but am not sure (WorldPac Pricing is about $110USD). Short of pulling it out and testing which
A. I'm not sure how to test,
B. Knowing the luck I have I'd probably bugger something up even though the part was functioning properly and then have to wait 3 weeks for one to come over from the fatherland
C. Leaving on vacation this Saturday so don't have much time to mess with it
I was wondering if a bad EVAP N-80 valve/EGR Valve/Pressure regulating valve would blow out my new parts?
As always, TIA.
