[s-cars] Actually the problem is worse than I thought.

All,
It indeed appears to be the POS. Since plugging the new POS into the
connectors for the driver's side unit (which I did leave in place for
the test), I have had no occurance of the miss/power loss. Tomorrow,
I will get some heat sink paste and bolt the new one in.
I also received the Euro driver's side mirror from Vagparts
(www.vagparts.com) and put it in. Big improvement.
