Bob-
You are correct about the difference between the N-80 valve and the other $20 check valve. I installed all but the more expensive N-80 last night in the dark, bit of a pain in the arse. The larger circular valve at the rear of the block was easier to get to, but in general that hardest part was ac cess.
I found a huge tear on the underside of the "T" hose after removal.
