[s-cars] Avant Auto Lock Feature-NOT

Hi Audiamigos,

My Avant has continued to exhibit a trait I no longer find very charming- at
all.

For some time now The Car has decided to lock all 4 doors whenever the rear
hatch is opened.

I assumed this was due to all the frayed and damaged wires running between
the hatch and the body.  Well, I just spent a fair few hours carefully and
completely splicing in a bunch of new wires.  Before the splicing there were
obviously problems with the hatch lights but now all is OK as far as the
lights are concerned but the bitch is still locking herself when ever the
hatch is lifted.

Lift the hatch as little as ¼” and the remote lock “beep” is heard and all 5
doors lock!  

Could it be related to something else?  Key sequencing?  FWIW, I have not
bothered to sort out nonfunctioning remote key lock functionality, I have
resorted to just sticking the key in the door.

Electrical ground related?  Im at a loss.

Anybody have an Avant schematic?
