I for one really like the limited range of the OE RF system. I have never
tested the range of the remote on my Toyota 4Runner but I can activate it
from 70 or so feet *through* a house. If I ever lost my keys while shopping
or something it would not be too hard for somebody to find my truck by
standing in the middle of the parking lot and pushing the button. The //S6
on the other hand I have to be right on top of.
Just my $0.02.

Tom (and Bob R.): For less than the price of a replacement key for the IR
system, you can replace the IR system with an inexpensive but workable
and longer range radio frequency (RF) system. The instructions and
