[s-cars] boost pressure sensor reading with vag-com?

Got some weird(or not so weird for an S car) boost issues with my car.
Seems as though my MAP sensor has ceased functioning.  I've driven the car
around with Vag-Com hooked up and watching the measuring blocks.  The
Absolute pressure window stays at 1012.1 milibar at all times.  I checked
the line from the intake manifold to the ecu and there are no leaks or
blockage.  Am i right in thinking that the absolute pressure window in
vag-com is referring to what the MAP sensor is reading?
