Tom,

I've never had that problem with my reman rear calipers.  I always apply
a little anti-seize to the spring, ball and cable-end inside the boot.

The problem with SJM and other places is they are selling reman calipers
for little less than AZ sells new.  Many of the reman calipers don't do
an adequate job on the emergency brake cam, leaving you to do your own
repair before it works dependably.
