[s-cars] //S-Fest 2006 - Hotel Info

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a restaurant on the premises.
Though there is always the Valero QuikMart across the street, and a
microwave in the room. How can you beat that?

There's really not much on that strip other than the usual fast food
burger and pizza joints. There's a couple of places about a mile down
the road. A TGIF and a local place called Skyline Restaurant, which is
okay but nothing to rave about. The Ramada Inn at the end of the road
has a sports bar. They may have a full restaurant. The Doubletree may
as well. But for the price difference you may as well rent a car.

One thought I just had is that she could take the shuttle from the hotel
to the airport and there is a restaurant at the Sheraton that is right
at the airport. That's a decent place.

I'd say have her come along to S-Fest. There will be other spouses
there. We try to make it a family event.

The other option is to rent a car for Saturday and depending on what her
interests are I could give you some info for things to do. It's got to
be better than sitting in the hotel all day.

I can also put together a list of decent eating establishments for
Friday night if you're interested (I assume you're driving up on
Friday).
