If the check engine light came on the ECU stored a trouble code. Read out
the codes and it should point you towards the problem.

Hi guys,

Got a problem.  The engine on my S-4 is cutting off for about 1 second or so
while driving.  The engine check light comes on and the car goes dead.
Fortunately, it starts again just like nothing happened.  Car then drives
for weeks and then another episode.  Any help appreciated.
