To remove the A-pillar cover, wash your hands (so you don't mess up the
covering) and grab the cover about 6 to 8 inches from the top and pull
towards the middle of the car.  It wll release with a BAM just before
you start to wonder whether it will ever come out (or not).

There is a second spring catch down lower nearer the dash but it comes
out easier once the top one comes out.
