[s-cars] 93 S4 wrecked!!

Glad to hear you're OK -- you picked a fine car to crash, as far as crashing
cars goes. From the description, sounds as if your car is totalled. Best
thing you can do, is research as many URS for sale prices as you can. Throw
out the cheap ones and use the more expensive ones to bolster your case. The
relative rarity of the UrS helps your argument, but don't expect miracles.
Don't expect much sympathy from the insurance company for the value of your
mods, unless any were very recently installed. Comparative sales prices are
the key here. When you think you've squeezed as much $$ from the insurance
company as possible, then tell them that it's a deal, but you get to keep
the car. The totaled car won't get them much in the way of salvage $$, so
they should be willing.

I have an 03 2.7T allroad in alpaka beige, but not for sale. Though the
spouse talked me into a Tip (first automatic in 30 years), it's a great car.
Lots of hotrod potential = slippery slope. Handling is a little "floatier"
than the UrS, but otherwise good. The chassis is beefed up for allroad duty
compared to the A6 Avant and it shows -- solid. The adjustable suspension
really, really works and will give you more ground clearance than most SUV's
on the road. Ours stays in position #1 90% of the time, but it's nice to
know that you can get tall on demand.

Good luck with all that.
