For those who got in on Javads recent GB for the RS2 brackets, no doubt
some of you had big red (or black) Porsche calipers already. For those
who did not, and for a relatively newby to the slippery slope like me,
I'm curious where to find a good deal (if one exists) on the calipers?
I talked with Sunset Motors in Portland last week and was quoted $365.45
each for the 928GST calipers (928-351-423/424). I'm wondering how this
compares with other sources that I may not be aware of. I've found
reasonably inexpensive sources for the other parts needed like pads,
rotors, pad vibration dampers, pad wear indicators, but not much in the
way of places or prices for either the calipers of the special NLA bolts
(VAGparts.com?). By way of comparison, a brand new set of big reds
(993TT) is on flea bay for $760 (current starting price, no bids). Any
recent pricing experience you'd like to share?
Thanks,
-Randy
