The A8 rear caliper is a bolt up to the UrS carriers. The caliper is
aluminum and it is a center pull ebrake as is the UrS calipers. The location of
the ebrake hookup is a little different, but should work. You will need to
ream out the ebrake cable stop, because it is a little smaller on the A8 caliper.
You can see pictures of both calipers on this write up I did when, I did an
upgrade on the rear brakes on my coupe.

The S-bitch has frequently seen temperatures below -20F with no sticking
rear caliper issue so I don't think the problem you're experiencing is
caused by a design flaw in the urS calipers. Simply, the grease in the hand
brake mechanism is old, probably mixed with a good deal of rust powder, and
a full rebuild of the calipers should solve the problem for several years.
